Mini-Motard League Information

League Format:

3 weeks of practice nights
5 week league style format (Bi-weekly on Sunday nights)
Separate divisions:

Based on lap times by rider/bike
Novice division - slower half of group (according to practice and or first league night)
Advanced division - faster half of group

Grand Prix style format *(per division)

One practice (8min) race
One Qualifying (4min) race
One Final (10min) race

Additional Racing Optional

Additional races (8min heats)

Just After League Racing if time allows
Drivers in all divisions may race together

Safety/ Equipment:

Safety of driver's will be the most important aspect of the motard league. All drivers will have the correct equipment, or they will not be able to drive.

Equipment:

Full Face Helmet-DOT approved-Preferably SNELL rated.
Gloves (leather or synthetic)
Jacket or full race suit (Leather or Synthetic-ARMOR or MESH)
Pants-(Leather or synthetic) No jeans unless they are motorcycle rated (Dragon, etc.)
Armor is strongly recommended but optional
Over the ankle boots

Technical-related issues:

Functional front and rear brakes are required.
Ignition kill switch must work.
Bikes must not leak any fluids at all-ever!!!
Throttle must snap back into the closed position
Tires must be in good shape (No dry-rot, core showing)

Pricing:

$140 for the 5 week league (per rider/bike), plus membership fee if applicable*

$45 per week if you want to pay on a per-week basis plus membership fee if applicable*
Includes Grand Prix format racing (Practice, Qual, Final)
Trophies for end of league
Complete point system tally
Cost is for the league, no refunds for missed nights
Any refunds due to bike breakdowns will be given as Maine Indoor Karting credit, no cash or credit card refunds

Additional races $10 per race per person

Can not be used in point system

Practice night pricing will be $40

Includes 3 full length 8min races
Only available on scheduled practice nights
$10 additional races are available after designated races are completed if time allows

Schedule:

February 1st, 8th, 15th
Practice Nights ($40 for 3 - eight minute sessions per night, optional)
Arrival time: 6:00pm
First Practice Run: 6:30pm
Extra practice races afterwards, only $10 if time allows

February 22nd, March 8th, 22nd, April 5th, 19th
League Racing Nights ($140 for the 5 week league)
Arrival Time: 6:00pm
First League Race: 6:30pm
Extra races after league runs, only $10 if time allows

*Everyone must hold a valid Maine Indoor Karting membership to participate in the league. If you're not a member, the league fee would be $150 (instead of $140). If you plan on paying per week the membership fee will be $10. All memberships are good for 1 year from the date of purchase. Membership is not required for practice nights however, will be instituted on first league night. For expired memberships, we will renew them for $10. The membership will allow us to track all your races in our computer system.
