M.I.K. Scratch League
Do you have a need for speed but no league to join? Join our Scratch Leagues! Fill our a sign-up sheet in our facility, or contact me via phone or email and I'll add you to the list. The Scratch League (one for Adults and one for Juniors) will begin when it has enough racers to compete!
Maine Indoor Karting League Information
League rules have been updated for fall leagues in 2007.
- Each League Series will run TEN races. Leagues may choose whether to run two races per night for a total of five weeks, or to run one race per night for a total of ten weeks. Additional league races are acquirable; prices are based on amount of racing.
- Each league member must have a current M.I.K. membership. Each league member will pay a $140 League Fee per series. This fee is due before the first race of the series. The fee will include track time and ten league races and water for all racers. Members who sign up late or are absent for one or more races will not be compensated for lost races. Installment payment plan is available for anyone interested. The first payment of 65% of the total fee, and the second payment of 35%. The first payment must be in by the first week of the league. The second payment will be due halfway through the league schedule.
- Leagues MUST have a minimum of 8 members. Upon agreement of the league, members may allow a guest to race with them at the normal racing price, but the visitor's times will not be included in the overall rankings.
- Leagues must schedule a set track time for their race(s) each week. M.I.K. will reserve this track time. League days are Sunday through Friday anytime, subject to track availability.
- Leagues must arrive one half hour before their scheduled race.
- Leagues will have the option to purchase the "Heat-Up" package for $25 per member. The "Heat-Up" package will include a 5 lap practice warm-up session immediately before each scheduled race. This option must be added by all of the members or none of the members before the start of the first series race.
- Each league will designate a Team Captain who will maintain the scoring information and share it with the M.I.K. Leagues Manager. M.I.K. will renew the Team Captain's membership for one year, as well. See the MIK League Scoring system below- This is our standard scoring, but the League Captain may discuss alterations with the M.I.K. League Manager. Team Captains are also responsible for getting all scoring into the League Manager, so that we can keep your league's scoring up to date on the league webpage.
- There are also "fun run races" for only $10 per league member on their league nights. These are regular eight minute heats based on track availability that night. The extra races are not included in any of the point standings for the league
Karting League Scoring System:
1st Place = 9 points
2nd Place = 7 points
3rd Place = 6 points
4th Place = 5 points
5th Place = 4 points
6th place = 3 points
League Food Packages
For only $25 per 5 weeks or $50 for ten weeks (per person), each member of the league may choose one food item and one beverage, energy drinks excluded.
Be aware that any alcoholic beverages can be consumed only after completion of drivers racing for the night.
